OPTION LETTER

SUBJECT: Amount of goods/Level of service change
In accordance with Paragraph I.B.I. of contract routing number 03CAA00154, between the State of
Colorado Department of Corrections, Division of Community Corrections, and the Board of
Commissioners of Weld County, covering the period of July 1, 2002 through June 30, 2003, the
state herby exercises the option for increase the amount of services at the same rates as specified in
Paragraph 1.A.1).
The amount of fluids available and encumbered in this contract is increased by$68,000 to a new total
• funds available of$110,000 to satisfy services ordered under the contract for the current fiscal year
(Fiscal Year 2003). The first sentence in Paragraph I.A.2) is hereby modified accordingly. The total
contract value to include all previous amendments, option letters, etc. is $110,000.

CRS 24-30-202 requires that the State Controller approve all state contracts. This contract is not valid until the
State Controller, or such assistant as he may delegate, has signed it. The contractor is not authorized to begin
performance until the contact is signed and dated below. If performance begins prior to the date below, the
State of Colorado may not be obligated to pay for goods and/or services provided.
