Dear Petitioner:
The Weld County Board of Equalization, pursuant to Colorado law, has authority to hear petitions
for appeal from persons whose objections to or protests of excessive, erroneous, or illegal

County Board of Equalization may hear only those matters which were received or postmarked
on or before July 15, 2002. Your petition was received; however, the postmark indicates that it
was mailed after July 15, 2002. Therefore, the County Board of Equalization does not have
jurisdiction to hear your appeal and thus, your petition is dismissed.
Very truly yours,

YEAR 2002
The appraised value of property is based on the appropriate consideration of the approaches to value required by law. The Assessor has determined that
your property should be included in the following category(ies):
Residential property - The property is valued by the market
aproach to value .
If your concern is the amount of your property tax, local taxing authorities(county, city, fire protection, and other special districts)hold budget
hearings in the fall. Please refer to your tax bill or ask your Assessor for a listing of these districts, and plan to attend these budget hearings.
The Assessor has carefully studied all available information, giving particular attention to the specifics included on your protest, and has determined the
valuation(s)assigned to your property. The reasons for this determination of value are as follows:
Your property has been uniformly valued following Colorado law and instructions
published by the State Division of Property Taxation. Your protest of value has
been denied due to comparison of other similar properties which sold during the
1999/2000 time period. This comparison shows your actual property value to be
correct for that period.

DEAR SIR:
Ref.NUN 19299-A L18-19-20 BLKS SISTUS: 175 WASHINGTON NUNN
Please note that my address on my letter appealing the assessment was in Montana and no longer in
Washington. Your denial letter was addressed to Kennewick,Washington and I have just received your
letter. Since you did not address this denial letter to my current address I do not accept the dates for
further appeal.
I disagree on this value and I too have talked with realty agents and they do not agree the value of this
property in its current condition. I do not accept the assessor's valuation of the property on comparison to
similar properties. I ask the question—where were the properties located for comparison? I have asked for
but not received any actual facts on which this value was determined. Please remit.
Sincerely,
Kaydell C.Bowles
