RESOLUTION CLOSING ROAD BETWEEN
SECTIONS 22 & 27-2-65
Commissioner Andersen offered the following resolution and
moved its adop tion:
WHEREAS, a petition, signed by all the owners of lands ad—
joining the County public road between Sections 22 and 27, Township
2 North, Range 65 West, requesting that said road described herein,
be vacated, abandoned and closed, has been presented to The Board of
County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, after full investigation and consideration, it appears
that this road is not used, that it has not been maintained by the
County for a ],ong time, that no one will be ifljured by such closing
and the necessities of the public no longer require a road between
said Sections 22 and 27, T2, R65 W.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT KEZOLVED and it is hereby ordered that
the road between Sections 22 and 27, Township 2 North, Range 65 West,
being one mile in length, be and hereby is vacated, abandoned and
ordered closed.
The resolution was seconded by Commissioner Hanson and adopted
by the following vote:

PETITION TO CLOSE ROAD
TO THE HONORABLE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
WELD COUNTY, STATE OF COLORADO:
The undersigned, a citizen of your County, respectfully rep-
resents that the necessities of the public no longer require a County

wagon road between Sections Twenty-two (22) and Twenty-seven (27),
Township Two (2) North, Range Sixty-five (65) West, Weld County,
.- r. Colorado.
That your petitioner is the owner of said Sections 22 and
iixt 27, Township 2 North, Range 65 West, and that the old County road
between said Sections has not been used for a number of years; that

the bridge on said old road some distance to the wdsrhas been out
for five years, and that the road does not go anywhere and that it
has not been maintained for a long time. That it is expedient to
close said road and that no one will be injured by such closing.
The undersigned therefore respectfully petitions that your
honorable body pass a proper resolution authorizing your petitionerto close said County road as above described.

THIS DEED, Made this Seventh day of April , A. D. 1914, by and
between THE LUPTON MEADOWS LAND COMPANY, a corporation organized
under the laws of the State of Colorado , party of the first part ,
and the County of Weld, a municipal subdivision of the State of
Colorado , of the second part;
WITNESSETH, That the party of the first part , for and in
consideration of the acceptance of this deed, and the devotion
of the premises hereafter described for a public road, and the
maintenance thereof forever, does hereby remise , release , sell
and quit claim unto the party of the second part forever, a
strip of land thirty (30 ) feet on each side of a center line
beginning at a point 1700 feet due West of the Northeast corner
of the Southeast quarter (SE4) of Section Twelve (12 ) , Township
Two (2) North , Range Sixty-seven (67 ) West; thence in a general
southeasterly direction following the southwesterly bank of the
South Platte River through the said Southeast quarter (SE4) of
said Section Twelve (12) to a point on the east boundary line of
said Southeast quarter (SE4) which is 1858.4 feet due south of
the said northeast corner of the said Southeast quarter (SE4)
of said Section Twelve (12 ) ; thence in a straight line due south
to a point which is the southeast corner of Section Twenty-four

(24) , and the northeast corner of Section Twenty-five (25) , Town-
ship Two (2) North, Range Sixty-seven (67 ) West ; thence due east
between Sections Nineteen (19 ) and Thirty (30) , in Township Two

ing a ridge where the road is now constructed to the bridge cross-
ing the South Platte River on the dividing line between the South-

GENTLEMEN :
We, the undersigned, Citizens of your County, respectfully represent that the necessities of the public

Said road to be not less than sixty(60) feet in width.
We therefore petition your honorable body to cause to be laid out and opened a County road as above described
and we. the owners of the land through which, said road is sought to be laid out, in consideration of the sum of one
dollar to us each and severally in hand paid by the said County of Weld the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged,
and of the laying out and opening of said road,hereby agree to give the right of way through our lands as shown by
the Sat accompanying this petition, and relinquish all claims for damage by reason thereof.
