RE: APPROVE APPOINTMENTS AND REAPPOINTMENT TO REGIONAL
COMMUNICATIONS ADVISORY BOARD
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, vacancies currently exist on the Regional Communications Advisory Board,
and
WHEREAS, it has been recommended that Reginald Mayes be appointed to said board
as the Police Zone 1 representative, to replace John Michaels; and that Thomas Backer be
appointed to said board as the Police Zone 3 representative, to replace Robert Yant, and
WHEREAS, it has been recommended that Michael Guthrie be reappointed to said
board as the Police Zone 2 representative, and
WHEREAS, the Board deems it advisable to appoint Reginald Mayes and reappoint
Michael Guthrie to said board, with their terms to expire December 31, 2004, and
WHEREAS, the Board deems it advisable to appoint Thomas Backer to said board, with
his term to expire December 31, 2003, and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that Reginald Mayes be, and hereby is, appointed and that Michael
Guthrie be, and hereby is, reappointed to the Regional Communications Advisory Board, with
their terms to expire December 31, 2004.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that Thomas Backer be, and hereby is, appointed to the Regional
Communications Advisory Board, with his term to expire December 31, 2003.
