RESOLUTION
RE: APPROVAL OF FIREWORKS LICENSE TO PLATTEVILLE CHAMBER OF
COMMERCE FOR THE 12TH DAY OF SEPTEMBER, 1982
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS., Section 12-28-103, CRS 1973, as amended, permits
Weld County to grant permits for public displays of fireworks
by organizations and groups, and
WHEREAS, the Platteville Chamber of Commerce has applied
for a fireworks display permit for September 12, 1982, which
display will take place at Highway 85 and Weld County Road 30,
and fireworks will be ignited approximately 1/4 mile from High-
way 85, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado desires to grant said application.
NOW,. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Com-
missioners of Weld County, Colorado that the Platteville Chamber
of Commerce be, and hereby is, granted a fireworks display permit
for September 12, 1982, subject to approval by the Weld County
Sheriff's Office and approval by the fire district and the posting
of a $1, 000 bond.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 30th day of
August, A.D. , 1982.

the weekend of Harvest Daze, September 11 -

munity celebration we have no objection to
the Fireworks display being in our district
on September 12.

The Chamber of Commerce of Platteville has asked if we have any
reservations about their fireworks display to be held approxi-
mately at sundown on September 12, 1982.
At this time, the Weld County Sheriff's Office sees no reason
why this display should not be authorized, as long as the display
is safe and follows the rules of Colorado Law.
