Home My WebLink About810306.tiff RESOLUTION RE: WAIVER OF RENTAL FEES FOR USE OF COUNTY BUILDINGS AT ISLAND GROVE PARK FOR THE GREELEY INDEPENDENCE STAMPEDE. WHEREAS , the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS, the Greeley Independence Stampede Committee has requested that they be allowed to use the County buildings at Island Grove Park from June 29 through July 6 , 1981, and that the rental fees for the use of said buildings be waived, and WHEREAS, the Board desires to grant the request for use of said buildings and to waive the rental fees for the same. How- ever, any extraordinary expenses such as additional trash pick- ups, security services and janitorial services shall be paid for by the Greeley Independence Stampede Committee. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Com- missioners of Weld County, Colorado that the rental fees for use of the County buildings at Island Grove Park by the Greeley Independence Stampede Committee be, and hereby are, waived. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners that any extraordinary expenses incurred shall be paid by the Greeley Independence Stampede Committee. Leone, Secretary Dear Mr. Leone: This is to advise you that on February 18, 1981, the Board of County Commis- sioners granted your request to waive the fees for the use of buildings and facilities at Island Grove during the annual Stampede. However, the Board did grant the waiver of fees with the condition that your group pay for any extraordinary out-of-pocket costs that the County may incur. Specific ex- penses that the Board cited were reimbursement for janitorial cost incurred, additional trash removal cost, security, and the use of any County vehicles. By way of a copy of this letter, we will advise Mr. Stan Boyes of the Board's decision and instruct him to reserve the facilities as you cited in your February 2, 1981 letter.
