RESOLUTION
Commissioner Hanson offered the following resolution
and Moved its adoption:
BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld county, Colorado, that this Board make and execute aniagreement
with-the State Highway Department of Colorado, obligating Weld County,
Colorado, to participate in the total cost of improvements on State
Highway No. 254 from State Highway No. 185 to Weld County-Boulder
County line, the total amount of said improvements being $50,000.00,
of which amount County's share in said improvements is $12,500.00
(*0 of the total, and further that the County's share in the costs
of said improvements to be drawn from the "County Road Fund".
The motion was seconded by Commissioner Magnuson and
the resolution adopted by the following vote:

RESOLUTION
Commissioner Hanson offered the following resolution
and moved its adoption:
WHEREAS, present designated State highway No. 254 running
west from State Highway No. 185 to Weld-Boulder County line is crooked,
and subject to floods and seepage, and
WHEREAS, investigationddiscloses that a route one and one
half miles south would be more practical as a year round road because
of less seepage and snow hazard, is more level and straight and serves
more people.
NW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado that request is hereby made
for change in designation of State Highway No. 254 as follows:
Beginning t the Junction of State Highway No. 185 and the mid point
on east line of Section 15, thence west through center of Sections
15-16.17 and 18, Township 2 North, Range 68 West in Weld County to
WeldwBoulder County line, thence west to Longmont in Boulder County
via the best route to be determined by the State Highway Department.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by the Board of County Commissioners
of Weld gounty, Colorado, that this new route of approximately four
miles in Weld County and three miles in Boulder County be designated
and made a part of the Federal Aid Secondary System.
The motion was seconded by Commissioner Andersen and the
resolution was adopted by the following vote:

RESOLUTION TO THE STATE HIGHWAY
ADVISORY BOARD RE: STATE HIGHWAY NO. 254:
RESOLVED, that the Board of County Commissioners of
Waled County, Colorado, request that the State Highway Advisory Board
change the F. A. S. designation of State Highway No. 254, from its
present locations to a point beginning at State Highway No. 185 in
center of Section 15, Township 2 North, Range 68 West and running
west through center of Sections 15,16,17 & 18, Township 2 North, Range
6B West to the County line, thence West across center of Section 13,
Township 2 North, Range 69 West, thence North on &A Section line of
Section 1$, Township 2,North, Range 69 to a point South of Great
Western Sugar Company grounds, thence Northwesterly to East city
limits of Longmont.
The alternate of changing designation of State Highway No. 254 will
be acceptable if changed as follows; Commencing at a point on Highway
185, thence west through center of Sections 15,16,17 & 18, Township 2
North, Range 68 to County line, thence North on County line to North-
west corner Section 7, Township 2 North, Range 68, thence West on present
State Highway No. 254 to East city limits of Longmont.
The above and foregoing resolution was, on motion duly
made and seconded, adopted by the following vote:
