RE: GRANT REQUEST FROM JAMES TERRY TO PRE-ADVERTISE SITE SPECIFIC
DEVELOPMENT PLAN AND USE BY SPECIAL REVIEW PERMIT#1375
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board has received a request from James Terry, 10711 Colorado
Highway 52, Fort Lupton, Colorado 80621, for pre-advertisement of an application for a Site
Specific Development Plan and Use by Special Review Permit#1375 for a Use by Right in the
Industrial Zone District (23,000 square-foot contractor's office and shop facility) in the A
(Agricultural) Zone District, and
WHEREAS, said property is described as Lot B of Recorded Exemption #2765; being
part of the W1/2 NE1/4 of Section 2, Township 1 North, Range 67 West of the 6th P.M., Weld
County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, after study and review the Board deems it advisable to grant said request,
with the hearing date to be set as April 24, 2002, at 10:00 a.m.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that the request from James Terry for pre-advertisement of an
application for a Site Specific Development Plan and Use by Special Review Permit#1375 for a
Use by Right in the Industrial Zone District (23,000 square-foot contractor's office and shop
facility) in the A (Agricultural) Zone District be, and hereby is, granted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the hearing date to consider said
request be, and hereby is, set as April 24, 2002, at 10:00 a.m.

RE: Request to Pre-Advertise USR Application
To The Clerk of the Boards:
On behalf of Nelson Pipeline Constructors, I am requesting that you pre-advertise the Use
by Special Review Application for the Nelson Pipeline Facility. A tentative schedule for
appearing before the Board of County Commissioners is mid to late May. The
application is scheduled for public hearing before the Weld County Planning
Commission on April 16,2002.
The request is based on the fact that the Planning Commission date is 81 days after the
USR Application was submitted(January 25, 2001). The first available Planning
Commission date is March 19, 2002, and the agenda is full. The April 2, 2002 Planning
Commission agenda is dedicated to discussion on Weld County's Comprehensive Plan.
This schedule pushes the BCC hearing date well into the spring construction schedule.
The applicant has planned to start construction in April of 2002. By pre-advertising the
project, the review and approval process can be expedited, facilitating a construction
schedule that benefits Nelson Pipeline Constructors.
I have enclosed a check in the amount of$35.00 to cover the pre-advertising fee.
