HomeMy WebLinkAbout20020566.tiff RESOLUTION RE: ACTION OF THE BOARD CONCERNING VIOLATION OF THE WELD COUNTY CODE - JOSE AND ROSA FRANCO WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS, Jose and Rosa Franco, VI #9900121, are allegedly in violation of the Weld County Code, and WHEREAS, despite efforts by the Planning staff to resolve said matter, the violation has not been corrected, and WHEREAS, on the 12th day of March, 2002, a public hearing was held before the Board of County Commissioners for the purpose of hearing testimony relating to said violation, and WHEREAS, Jose and Rosa Franco were not present or represented at said hearing, although all parties were notified of said hearing by Department of Planning Services staff, and WHEREAS, the Board deems it advisable to bring legal action against those individuals named above to correct said violation. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the Weld County Attorney be, and hereby is, authorized to proceed with legal action against Jose and Rosa Franco to remedy the violation of the Weld County Code, and any other persons occupying the properties, any persons claiming an interest in the properties, and any persons acting in active concert with the identified parties. No pictures taken at this time. We stopped and spoke to a man who lived there and he showed us that all of the vehicles did indeed have current license plates. We spoke to him about the complaint of having multiple people living there. He said that they were all related (family) and asked if we had an issue with that. We told him that he needed to clean the trash, wood, metal, iron and miscellaneous debris. There were approximately 8+ vehicles. The wood, metal, iron, trash and miscellaneous debris appears to be starting to return.
