Subject: Pre-advertisement for amendment to AmUSR-1125
Dear Board of County Commissioners:
This letter is a request for a pre-advertisement for a second amendment to USR-1125. Enclosed please
find a check in the amount of$35.00 for the fee for advertising. Currently, the approved uses on the
site include a gravel mining operation and concrete batch plant. Hall-Irwin Corporation is proposing a
landscape yard on the subject property, which requires an amendment to the current Site Specific
Development Plan and Special Review Permit.
We are requesting pre-advertisement for the following reasons. The Planning Commission Hearing
date of April 2, 2002 has been set aside for the update of the Comprehensive Plan. When inquiring
with the Planning Department, approximately three weeks ago, we were told that if our application
was turned in by February 14, 2002 by noon, that the April god Planning Commission would be
scheduled. Due to the review of the Comprehensive Plan on that date, cases are now being scheduled
for the April 16, 2002 Planning Commission Hearing. The landscape business is highly seasonal, with
Memorial Weekend as the busiest weekend of the season, in terms of sales. It is imperative to the
success of this landscape yard to pursue approval of the amendment to the permit, meet all of the
conditions of approval and record a mylar plat as soon as possible. We are requesting a Board of
County Commissioner's Hearing date of April 24, 2002. Thank you in advance for considering this
request.
Sincerely, C

* Hall-Irwin, in a letter dated February 12, 2002, is requesting a pre-advertisement for 2'

scheduled for this hearing date have been moved to April 16, 2002 (including cases submitted
