completed its merger with AT&T Broadband. With the finalization of this merger, our
new company—which will have the Comcast name —is now the leading broadband
communications services provider in the nation, serving over 21 million customers in 41
states. And, we are pleased that the residents, businesses, and institutions of your
community are now a part of the new Comcast family.
Comcast is a company with a proud history dating back to 1963, when we started our
first small cable system in Tupelo, Mississippi. Since then, Comcast has earned the
reputation of being a company that is dedicated to serving its customers with integrity.
And although our reach has broadened with this merger, our commitment to local
communities like yours remains as constant as ever. Indeed, our goal is to utilize the
combined expertise and initiative of Comcast and AT&T Broadband to increase the
choice of products and services we offer our customers and to expand their availability.
The enclosed press release includes some additional information about the completed
merger and the new Comcast. We are very excited about the future and the many
