RE: APPROVE AMENDMENT TO CHILD PROTECTION AGREEMENT FOR SERVICES
AND AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN - NORTH RANGE BEHAVIORAL HEALTH
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with an Amendment to the Child Protection
Agreement for Services between the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the
Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf of the Department of Social
Services, and North Range Behavioral Health, commencing June 1, 2001, and ending May 31,
2002, with further terms and conditions being as stated in said amendment, and
WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to approve said amendment, a
copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, ex-officio Board of Social Services, that the Amendment to the Child
Protection Agreement for Services between the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and
through the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf of the Department of
Social Services, and North Range Behavioral Health be, and hereby is, approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Chair be, and hereby is, authorized
to sign said amendment.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 27th day of February, A.D., 2002, nunc pro tunc June 1, 2001.

RE: Amendment to Child Protection Agreement with North Range
Behavioral Health
Enclosed for Board approval is an Amendment to Child Protection Agreement with North
Range Behavioral Health.
The amendment increases the reimbursement level of the Agreement from $38,000 to a
maximum of$80,000 for the period ending May 31, 2002. The amendment is necessary
to pay for increasing demand for foster parent training as a result of State rule changes.
These State rule changes increased the number of hours that foster parents must meet to
become certified or retain their foster parent certification. Also, there is a need to
increase consultation and evaluation services by North Range. Funding for these
increased costs would be covered by Child Welfare Block Grant resources and, if not
available, with TANF resources.

AMENDMENT TO CHILD PROTECTION AGREEMENT FOR SERVICES
BETWEEN THE WELD COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL SERVICES AND
NORTH RANGE BEHAVIORAL HEALTH
THIS Amendment modification made and entered into this 25th day of February 2002,
by and between the Board of Weld County Commissioners, on behalf of the Weld County
Department of Social Services, hereinafter referred to as "Social Services," and North Range
Behavioral Health.
WITNESSETH:
WHEREAS, the parties desire to modify their current Agreement (FY01-12000) in order
to extend the Agreement and its funding; and
WHEREAS, the Colorado Department of Social Services has provided Core Services
Family Issue's Cash Fund resources to North Range Behavioral Health and Social Services for
psychological evaluation and assessment services for families, children, and adolescents.
NOW THEREFORE, in consideration of the premises, the parties hereto covenant and
agree as follows:
Exhibit B, Payment Schedule,
1. Funding and Method of Payment will be revised as follows:
Social Services agrees to increase reimbursement to North Range Behavioral
Health, in consideration for work and services performed, a total amount not to
exceed Eighty Thousand Dollars ($80,000.00), under Funding Code 1888 and
Object Code 104.
2. Fees for Service will be revised as follows:
Psychological Evaluation Caseworker Consultation Services
Social Services agrees to pay North Range Behavioral Health for the costs of
services at an hourly rate of $80.00, not to exceed Eighty Thousand Dollars
($80,000.00), during FY 2001-2002.
Except as modified herein, the terms and conditions of the original agreement FY 01-12000,
together with all attachments of the original Agreement, remain in full force and effect.
