Dear Mr. Strait:
Enclosed please find Weld County's fifth biennial report of the former
"Atlas "E" Missile Site. I hope the responses comply with your report-
ing requirements. As pointed out in item one (1) of the report, we
have not been successful in obtaining access to information in order -
to prepare the planned interpretive program regarding the Missile
Program.
If your personnel could assist in providing potential sources or even
provide information or credentials to aid our research efforts we may
be able to accomplish our interpretation program.

BIENNIAL COMPLIANCE REPORT
1. Has the Program of Utilization been followed in maintaining and improving the
property? If not, explain. List the recreation and supporting facilities
that have been constructed to date.

2. Is the area signed designating the site as a public area, as required in the
Deed of Conveyance? If not, give date one will be placed on the property.

3. Does the property now possess access, landscaping, and a maintenance program
which enables the public to enjoy the area as a recognized park, recreation
area, or historic monument? If not, when will corrective action be taken?

4. Estimate the expenditure of public funds or donations which have been made in
the preceding biennium to maintain or develop the property. Estimate expendi-
tures for the next biennium; also state purpose for which funds will be expended.

attendance at exhibits or museums, participation in sports) .

vandalism, overuse, highway problems, and insufficient maintenance) , and any
corrective actions to be taken.
No significant problems have been experienced this past biennium.
8. Have facilities for handicapped persons been considered in development of the
area? (List type of facilities.)
No specific limitations have been identified for handicapped persons to date.

ATTACHMENT TO BIENNIAL COMPLIANCE REPORT
1. The program of Utilization has been complied with to date. The County
has not completed the planned interpretive information primarily due to
lack of access to information on Atlas Missile Sites. Additional
landscaping has been added throughout the park facility.
4. Approximately ten thousand dollars ($10,000) are expended at the park
site per year and the same is anticipated for the next biennium. The
allocation is made to ongoing maintenance and upkeep, utility costs,
and an on site caretaker.
5. The site is frequented by day use visitors, occasional tour groups,
and overnight campers. The overnight campers are often organized groups
Exact visitor counts are not taken. A conservative estimate of visitation
includes: 300 visitor days - camping; 600 visitor days - day use/picnic;
and 100 tour visitors.
