RESOLUTION
RE: APPROVE VACATION OF SPECIAL REVIEW PERMIT#496 - SCHELLENBERG/
LAWSON
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, by Resolution dated May 26, 1982, the Board did approve Special Review
Permit#496 for an Airstrip for Chris and Cheryl Schellenberg on the following described real
estate, to-wit:
Part of the NE 1/4 of Section 4, Township 1 North,
Range 62 West of the 6th P.M., Weld County,
Colorado
WHEREAS, the Department of Planning Services staff recommended the vacation of
Special Review Permit#496 as a Condition of Approval for Recorded Exemption #3247, and
WHEREAS, the Board has received a request from Dan and Cindy Schellenberg and
Richard and Joyce Lawson, to vacate said Special Review Permit#496, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners heard all of the testimony and
statements of those present, studied the request of the applicant and the recommendations of
the Department of Planning Services staff and all of the exhibits and evidence presented in this
matter and, having been fully informed, deems it advisable to approve said vacation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that Special Review Permit#496 be, and hereby is, vacated.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 24th day of April, A.D., 2002.

SUBJECT: Request for Vacation of USR 496
Dan and Cindy Schellenberg, Lot A of Recorded Exemption 543 and Richard and Joyce
Lawson, Lot B of Recorded Exemption 543, request a vacation of this Use by Special Review
for an airstrip.
Condition of Approval, item number 3.G of Recorded Exemption 3247 states that prior to
recording the plat
" The applicant shall provide a letter to the Department of Planning Services from the
Owner's of Lot A and Lot B of Recorded Exemption 543 (RE-543) requesting that the Use
by Special Review 496 (USR-496)for an airstrip be vacated."
Recorded Exemption 3247 was approved through administrative review for a two lot recorded
exemption on January 25, 2002. Lot B of RE 543 was subdivided into two separate parcels.
The Department of Planning Services is in support of this request.
