Very truly yours, WELD COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS Seq 14 Glenn Vaad, Chair GV/eeg CAYcc/y c(t, 2002-2667 CONTRACT EXTENSION PROPOSAL WELD COUNTY TO: DAVE MALCOM FROM: DALE CHERRINGTON SUBJECT: CONTRACT EXTENSION-WELD COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE INMATE TELEPHONE SYSTEM DATE: 09/26/02 CC: FRANK HENN Dave, The current inmate telephone agreement between Qwest Communications and Weld County provides for an initial term of three years, beginning on January 1 2000 and expiring December 31 2002. The agreement provides for an extension of two successive periods of one year each. Qwest Communications along with T-NETIX are proposing that your current inmate telephone system be upgraded to the T-NETIX "Digital Combridge Inmate Telephone System" along with digital recording, in exchange for Weld County's extension of the two option years on the current agreement. The North and Downtown facilities will both operate under the Combridge platform, located at the North facility. Each facility will have an administrative workstation with a CD burner, full recording and 90 days on line storage of recorded calls the North Jail and selective recording at the downtown facility. I am including an overview of the Combridge System that provides detailed information on the operation of the Combridge inmate telephone system.
