RE: Inmate Telephone Service Agreement Extension
Dear Mr. Dale Cherrington:
Weld County agrees to extend the current Inmate Telephone Service Agreement
#CDS-991112-0223 with Qwest Communications for two years (January 1, 2003, through
December 31, 2004)with the understanding that Qwest Communications, along with T-NETIX,
will upgrade the current inmate telephone system to the T-NETIX Digital Combridge Inmate
Telephone System, which includes digital recording.

Dave,
The current inmate telephone agreement between Qwest Communications and Weld
County provides for an initial term of three years, beginning on January 1 2000 and expiring
December 31 2002. The agreement provides for an extension of two successive periods of one
year each.
Qwest Communications along with T-NETIX are proposing that your current inmate
telephone system be upgraded to the T-NETIX "Digital Combridge Inmate Telephone
System" along with digital recording, in exchange for Weld County's extension of the two
option years on the current agreement.
The North and Downtown facilities will both operate under the Combridge platform,
located at the North facility. Each facility will have an administrative workstation with a CD
burner, full recording and 90 days on line storage of recorded calls the North Jail and selective
recording at the downtown facility.
I am including an overview of the Combridge System that provides detailed information
on the operation of the Combridge inmate telephone system.

The system can be installed approximately 45 days from the date of approval.
