DETERTS WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado on the 23rd day of June, 1982, considered the request of Effie L. Deterts for a mobile home to be used as a principal dwelling on the parcel of land, to be occupied in an A-Agricul- tural Zone District, more particularly described as follows: Part of the SEa, Section 24, TIN, R66W of the 6th P.M. , Weld County, Colorado WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners, '.thaving heard the testimony and the opposition of those present, found that this matter should be continued to the 14th day of July, 1982 , in order to give the Board members the opportunity to individ- ually and personally inspect the subject property, and WHEREAS, on the 14th day of July, 1982, the Board again considered the request of Effie L. Deterts for a mobile home to be used as a principal dwelling on the above described pro- perty, and WHEREAS, on the 14th day of July, 1982, after hearing the testimony and the opposition of those present, the Board found that said request should be denied. WHEREAS, the motion to approve said request was made and said motion failed by a vote of 3 to 1 which is, in effect, a denial. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Com- missioners of Weld County, Colorado that the request of Effie L. Deterts for a mobile home to be used as a principal dwelling on the above described parcel of land be, and hereby is , denied. We wish to voice an objection to a mobile home being allowed to become the permanent dwelling of this party. This is an area of small acreages of 2-10 acres (ours is 7 acres) and each acreage has a home on it. It is not an area of large farms where perhaps a mobile home would be ar'propriate. DETERTS JULY 14, 1982 Board of Commissioners Weld County, Colorado On June 23, 1982, 1 requested a hearing before the Commissioners to use a Mobile Home as a permanent resident on a ten acre track of ground I own. At the hearing, I was opposed by several of my distant neighbors -- mostly a Mr. Randy Rumsey and Mr. Mike Bennett living at the same address. Also, a Mr. Dennison. Mr. Dennison can not see my place from his home. He can not see my Mobile Home unless he comes to the corner of Nelson Str4et and Apaloosa Avenue, which is several hundred yards from his home. Randy Rumsey and Mike Bennett's objections were that the Mobile Home would tend to dim the valuation of their property. By Mr. Rummy's own admission, he bought the subject property with my Mobile Home located as it is now -- and in the same position -- not knowing if it was a permanent structure or not. He says he paid $96,000.00 (ninety six thousand dollars) and if I should be allowed to keep my Mobile Home as a permanent dwells , he fears it may reduce his selling price to $86,000.00 (eighty six thousand dollars), yet he admitted he paid $96,000.00 (ninety six thousand dollars) for the property before the Commission. He paid that amount for it with my Mobile Home located at the exact spot that he objects to now! In my opinion, it is only a grudge between me and my neighbors over the four—party telephone lines.
