RESOLUTION
RE: APPROVAL OF ADDENDUM TO THE FRAUD SERVICES CONTRACT BETWEEN
THE DISTRICT ATTORNEY AND THE WELD COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF
SOCIAL SERVICES AND AUTHORIZATION FOR THE CHAIRMAN OF TIDE
BOARD TO SIGN THE SAME.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, •the District Attorney and the Weld County Depart-
ment of Social Services have previously entered into a Fraud
Services Contract, and
WHEREAS, the parties to said Fraud Services Contract desire
to amend Paragraph 3.A. of the Contract to read as follows :
"3. Payment - Schedule and Amount
A. Amount. Payment to the District Attorney
will be limited to the total sum of
$16,000 . 00 which has been allocated by
the Colorado Department of Social Services
and approved by the Weld County Board of
County Commissioners , provided that the
Department of District Attorney may can-
• cel , revoke, annul or amend this Agreement
in accordance with Paragraph 4 . "
WHEREAS, an Addendum to the Fraud Services Contract setting
forth the amendment as stated herein has been prepared and sub-
mitted to the Board of County Commissioners for approval , and
WHEREAS, the Board, after studying said Addendum, deems it
advisable to approve the same.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Com-
missioners of Weld County, Colorado that the Addendum to the
Fraud Services Contract between the District Attorney and the
• Weld County Department of Social Services be, and hereby is ,
approved.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Chairman of
the Board is hereby authorized to sign said Addendum.

FRAUD SERVICES CONTRACT
Weld County Department of Social Services
THIS ADDENDUM is made and entered into this 18th day of
February, 1981 by and between the DISTRICT ATTORNEY IN AND FOR
THE 19TH JUDICIAL DISTRICT OF COLORADO (hereinafter "District
Attorney" ) and the Weld County Department of Social Services
(hereinafter "Department" ) ;
WITNESSETH THAT
WHEREAS, the Department and the District Attorney have pre-
viously entered into a Contract which provides for (1) assistance
for the Department in provided services necessary to prosecute
those who fraudulently obtain public assistance to which they are
not entitled, (2) assistance in other matters of common concern
to the Department and the District Attorney, and (3) provision
for reimbursement of costs incurred by the District Attorney, and
WHEREAS, the District Attorney and the Department desire to
amend said Fraud Services Contract previously entered into in
order to specifically set forth the monetary limitation on said
Contract.
NOW, THEREFORE, the Department and District Attorney, in
consideration of the promises and mutual covenants as set forth
in said Fraud Services Contract and as hereinafter contained, do
hereby agree to the following amendment of Paragraph 3 .A. of
"Fraud Services Contract - Weld County Department of Social Ser-
vices" entered into by the parties hereto on or about June 30,
1980:
"3 . Payment - Schedule and Amount
A. Amount. Payment to the District Attorney
will be limited to the total sum of $16, 000. 00
which has been allocated by the Colorado
Department of Social Services and approved by
the Weld County Board of County Commissioners ,

provided that the Department or District
Attorney may cancel, revoke, annul or amend
this Agreement in accordance with Paragraph
4.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto have hereunto set their
hands on the day and year first above written.
