RE: ACTION OF BOARD CONCERNING A SITE SPECIFIC DEVELOPMENT PLAN AND
USE BY SPECIAL REVIEW PERMIT#1392 FOR A MAJOR FACILITY OF A PUBLIC
UTILITY (13.2-MILE, 115 KV TRANSMISSION LINE AND TWO NEW SWITCHING
STATIONS) IN THE A(AGRICULTURAL) ZONE DISTRICT -TRI-STATE
GENERATION AND TRANSMISSION ASSOCIATION, INC.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with a Site Specific Development Plan and
Use by Special Review Permit#1392 for a Major Facility of a Public Utility (13.2-mile, 115 kV
transmission line and two new switching stations) in the A (Agricultural) Zone District for Tri-
State Generation and Transmission Association, Inc., and
WHEREAS, a hearing before the Board was held on the 25th day of September, 2002,
at which time the Board deemed it advisable to continue said matter, at the request of the
applicant, to allow them additional time to continue the meetings with some of the affected land
owners along the preferred route.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that the abovementioned matter be, and hereby is, continued to
October 30, 2002, at 10:00 a.m.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 25th day of September, A.D., 2002.
