RE: APPROVE APPOINTMENT OF COMMISSIONER DAVID E. LONG TO CERTAIN
ADVISORY BOARDS
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, Commissioner David E. Long has been assigned to Coordinate the
Department of Health Services, and
WHEREAS, it has been recommended that Commissioner Long be appointed to
represent the Board of County Commissioners on the following advisory boards:
Criminal Justice Advisory Committee (alternate)
Colorado Works Allocations Committee
Local Emergency Planning Committee
North Colorado Medical Center Board of Trustees (ex-officio)
Island Grove Park Advisory Board
Economic Development Advisory Partnership Board
WHEREAS, the Board deems it advisable to appoint Commissioner Long to said
boards, with his term on each board to expire December 31, 2002.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that Commissioner David E. Long be, and hereby is, appointed to the
above listed boards, with his term on each board to expire December 31, 2002.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 2nd day of January, A.D., 2002.
