Wise Acres Greenhouse,owned and operated by Ms. Kirsten Daniel,has been a new and growing
business in our community this last year.
Weld County is a busy and growing area and allowing this operation to become a retail business will
he a great addition to the county and the surrounding towns. Wise Acres is located in a well-traveled
area and we believe Ms. Daniel will serve the communities people and businesses in a positive
manner.
She has taken steps to keep the property and building clean and attractive while becoming more
innovative in ways to serve the community. Allowing her the opportunity to serve the public and
businesses will only help and county grow and offer more choice to the area. We feel that she and
her business will be a beneficial addition. We support her request to serve the community as a retail
business.

As requested by the notification process I received I am writing some comments and objections
related to the request.
I. I have been living next door to"Wise Acres" since they have been in business over the last year.
This current hearing for a Site Specific Development Plan and Special Review Permit seems on the
obvious surface to me to be quite after the fact. My concerns, however,that I bring to this board are
not with the particulars of that issue, it is with the traffic and land use as it impacts on my daily
privacy and living activities.
2. I have included several pictures of the situation as it now exists with reference to my house and
property line of the"Retail Garden Center". As you can clearly see there are a number of cars
parked "looking' right into my living room and front porch some 20 to 25 feet away on any given
day. They have chosen to utilize their 16 acres by putting their parking lot up against my property
line.
3. They have put this"Retail Garden Center"so close to my house that I have had numerous people
stop and question me about"my" greenhouses. One person this past Saturday,after being informed
I was not part of the"Retail Garden Center" wanted to leave his car in my driveway and walk over!
4. I would think that a just requirement to retrospectively grant this Special Use Permit for what's
gone on in the past and for whatever they have planned in the future should include the owner
putting up an 8 foot privacy fence along the full extent of my eastern property line in a most
expeditious manner. This would clearly delineate their business operation from my private residence
of 9 years. This would hopefully help alleviate a number of privacy issues that I have experienced
up to this point with the ongoing operation of their business. I would he willing to remove my picket
fence and have a vinyl fence placed on my property line at their expense if they would rather but
either way I think it is not the least bit unreasonable to expect ones privacy in this situation.
5. I have no doubt that this Special Use Permit will be granted by this board to this individual.
realize that progress is a natural tenant of the human race and I have no illusions to the contrary in
that regards. I would hope though that this board and the land owner would accommodate my one
request to recuperate some of my privacy as part of the authorization process for the continued and
unimpeded development of their business. At this point,this is a simple problem with a simple
resolution.
