This variance is to Weld County Code, Chapter 14, Article III, for a cistern to be used for the bed and breakfast portion of a home located at 21491 County Road 64, Greeley, Colorado. The Board approved the variance with the following condition: 1 ) The cistern water must be testing quarterly for bacteriological contamination for one year. At the end of the one year time period, the Board will evaluate the need for continued testing. In addition, I would also like to verify a change to the original application for the source of water to the cistern. The cistern will be filled with water from a water tap at a residence owned by you in Severance, Colorado, which is supplied by North Weld County Water District. I have also spoke with someone at the North Weld County Water District office to verify that this is an acceptable use of water from that tap. Prior to receiving a final permit from the Division for use of the cistern, the following must occur: 1 ) The Division must do a final inspection of the cistern after it has been installed and is full of water. You must schedule this inspection. 2) The Division must collect a water sample for bacterial analysis. The analysis must reveal that the water in the cistern is suitable for human consumption. In the event the test fails, a retest must be conducted. Please be reminded that the installation and operation of this cistern must comply with the above mentioned Code. A copy of this Section of the Code is enclosed for your records. Carla Angeli - Cistern permit for Reese Page 1 From: Connie O'NEILL To: Angeli, Carla Date: 7/30/02 3:53PM Subject: Cistern permit for Reese Carla, I just wanted to give you a little more information on the cistern for Brett Reese. As I told you earlier, I contacted the City of Greeley and they told me that it would not be acceptable for Mr. Reese to fill the cistern with water from a tap at a residence in Greeley. I contacted Mr. Reese with this information and he told me he would get back with me on what they wanted to do. Mr. Reese left me a voice mail later this morning stating that they would be filling the cistern with water from a tap at a residence in Severance which is North Weld County Water District. Since I talked to you about this, I contacted Colleen at North Weld and she verified that this is acceptable to them since the water is metered. I will include this change in the cistern approval letter. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thanks CC: Davis, Char; Jiricek, TREVOR; Morrison, LEE Hello
