RE: ACCEPT CHARLES L. AND WILMA L. HENDERSON' S PETITION TO
EQUIP 59TH AVENUE WITH A GUARD RAIL
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of adminstering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, a petition to equip 59th Avenue with a guard rail
around a curve on the East side to protect Northbound traffic
and East side property owners was submitted by Mr. and Mrs.
Charles L. Henderson and received by the Board on June 16 , 1981,
and
WHEREAS, the Engineering Department has studied said 59th
Avenue and has recommend either of the following two options
along with additional signing: 1. Rebuild the curve or
2. Install a concrete Jersey barrier, and
WHEREAS , it was determined by the Board that it would
be in the best interest of Weld County to select Option #2 ,
install a concrete Jersey barrier along with additional signing,
around the curve on the East side of 59th Avenue in the 2100
Block.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Com-
missioners of Weld County, Colorado that the Petition submitted
by Mr. and Mrs. Charles L. Henderson be, and hereby is, accepted
and that a Jersey concrete barrier be installed around a curve
on the East side of 59th Avenue in the 2100 Block.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners
of Weld County, Colorado, hereby authorizes and orders the posting
of such :traffic control devices as shall be reasonably necessary
to regulate, warn and/or guide traffic thereon for the safety of
the general public and that said traffic control devices shall
conform to the State Manual and specifications.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 14th day of
October, A. D. , 1981.

following road be equipped with guard rail around curve on East side to protess
Northbound traffic and East side property owners. Location of
