Both of these applications were recommended for approval by the Weld County Planning Commission. I have enclosed copies of their recommendation for your convenience. The Planning Commission suggested that Mr. Rodriguez contact the City of Evans regarding access to 49111 Street, which is maintained by the City. The recommended that Mr. Rodriguez use the single, existing access to serve both his house and shop (USR 1372) and the storage units (USR 1371), and Mr. Rodriguez agreed that this configuration would be possible. After further review, we have determined that using the single access, though possible, would reduce the space available for storage units, and would make it difficult to provide the turning radius necessary for larger U-Haul trucks. For this reason, we will be requesting the Board of County Commissioners to approve two accesses, rather than the one recommended by the Commission. I would appreciate your comments with regard to the "two entrance" plan, and access issues generally.
