Most of the Food Stamp caseload increase is attributed to migrant worker families within the county. Three hundred forty- seven migrant families received Food Stamps in June compared with 190 families in May. The Child Protection and Youth Service caseload remained stable. During June, 221 households receiving Child Protection Services were active with the Department. An additional 216 households were active with the Department's Youth Service Unit during June. Support services, such as Day Care and Homemaker Service, continue to be significant programs for the county. Expenditures for June (excluding Old Age Pension and Food Stamps) were $650,751.
