RE: ACTION OF BOARD CONCERNING APPLICATION FOR TEMPORARY ASSEMBLY
OF MORE THAN 350 PERSONS ON AUGUST 11, 2002 -ACTION PURSUIT
PAINTBALL, LLC, C/O ANTHONY NAVARRO
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners held a public hearing on the 29th day
of July, 2002, at the hour of 10:00 a.m. in the Chambers of the Board for the purpose of hearing
the application of Action Pursuit Paintball, LLC, do Anthony Navarro, 709 43rd Avenue,
Greeley, Colorado 80631, for a temporary assembly of more than 350 persons on August 11,
2002, on the following described real estate, to-wit:
SE1/4 SW1/4 of Section 14, Township 5 North,
Range 65 West of the 6th P.M., Weld County,
Colorado
WHEREAS, Anthony Navarro has submitted a letter to the Board, dated July 25, 2002,
requesting the application for Change of Zone #569 be withdrawn, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners heard all of the testimony and
statements of those present, studied the request of the applicant and all of the exhibits and
evidence presented in this matter and, having been fully informed, deems it advisable to accept
said request to withdraw said application.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that the request of Action Pursuit Paintball, LLC, do Anthony Navarro,
to withdraw the application for a temporary assembly of more than 350 persons on August 11,
2002, on the hereinabove described parcel of land be, and hereby is, accepted.

We are requesting a refund in the amount of$100.00 for the temporary assemble permit
that will no longer be necessary, The promoter of the event has decided that it was in the
best interest of the event and our paintball park not to hold the event here with so much
uncertainty regarding the pending zoning. This event would have brought close to
$29,000.00 in taxable income to Greeley and is a great loss to us. We will be attempting
to renegotiate to bring this event back to Greeley next year.
Per our conversation today,a Hill$100.00 rellmd will be mail to me at the earliest
convenience.

FOR TEMPORARY ASSEMBLY
Pursuant to the Weld County Code, a public hearing will be held in the Chambers of the
Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, Weld County Centennial Center, 915
10th Street, First Floor, Greeley, Colorado, at the time specified.
If a court reporter is desired, please advise the Clerk to the Board, in writing, at least five
days prior of the hearing. The cost of engaging a court reporter shall be borne by the requesting
party. In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, if special accommodations are
required in order for you to participate in this hearing, please contact the Clerk to the Board's Office
