HomeMy WebLinkAbout20021017.tiff RESOLUTION RE: APPROVE EXPEDITED PERMANENCY PLANNING BUDGET FOR PY2002-2003 AND AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with an Expedited Permanency Planning Budget for PY2002-2003 from the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf of the Department of Social Services, to the Colorado Department of Human Services, commencing June 1, 2002, and ending May 31, 2003, with further terms and conditions being as stated in said budget, and WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to approve said budget, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, ex-officio Board of Social Services, that the Expedited Permanency Planning Budget for PY2002-2003 from the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf of the Department of Social Services, to the Colorado Department of Human Services be, and hereby is, approved. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Chair be, and hereby is, authorized to sign said budget. The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 24th day of April, A.D., 2002. Griego, Director, Social Services U9A,u4r, RE: Expedited Permanency Planning Budget P 02-03 Enclosed for Board approval is the Expedited Permanency Planning Budget for PY 02- 03. The funding for this year constitutes the last year of a five-year funding cycle. 1. The term of the budget is June 1, 2002 through May 31, 2003. 2. The budget provides for partial funding of a Case Aide IV and Caseworker III, and direct services of family group decision making services, home studies, adoptive studies, mediation services, and special economic assistance. 3. Expedited Permanency Planning services focuses on families of and children who are six years of age and under to secure permanency within 12 months.
