RESOLUTION
RE: APPROVE CREATION OF NEW MAIL BALLOT PRECINCT IN WELD COUNTY
COMMISSIONER DISTRICT III
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, after the reapportionment required by Article V, Section 48 of the Colorado
Constitution, and upon mapping by the Colorado Secretary of State of State House Districts
around the boundaries of the City and County of Broomfield, there is the need to create a new
Precinct Number 2233363327, with its area shown in red on the attached Exhibit "A," and
WHEREAS, the new precinct shall be a "mail-ballot" precinct, because of its small size
and the fact that the precinct has only 44 active registered electors, and 5 inactive registered
electors, and
WHEREAS, the new precinct is listed by the Secretary of State as being in State House
District 33, and shall be in Weld County Commissioner District III.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that the area shown in red on the attached Exhibit "A," be, and hereby
is, approved as a new Precinct Number 2233363327, which shall be a mail-ballot precinct in
State House District 33 and Weld County Commissioner District III.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 15th day of July, A.D., 2002.
