RESOLUTION
RE: APPROVE FINAL CHANGE IN BOUNDARY LINES OF THE COMMISSIONER
DISTRICTS IN WELD COUNTY, COLORADO AND AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant
to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, C.R.S. § 30-10-306 (4) states the following: ". . . after each federal census
of the United States, each [County Commissioner] district shall be established, revised, or
altered to assure that such districts shall be as nearly equal in population as possible based on
such census in the following odd-numbered year and shall be completed by September 30 of
such year," and
WHEREAS, by Resolution of the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, dated September 26, 2001, the Board revised the boundary lines of the County
Commissioner Districts as shown on the map attached to that Resolution, and
WHEREAS, said Resolution reserved unto the Board of County Commissioners the
right to make any changes to such County Commissioner District boundaries if made
necessary by the reapportionment required by Article V, Section 48 of the Colorado
Constitution, and
WHEREAS, the reapportionment required by Article V, Section 48 of the Colorado
Constitution being now complete does require certain final revisions to County Commissioner
District boundaries, in order to attain the proper division of the County with respect to
population in accordance with the directives of C.R.S. § 30-10-306 (4), which revisions are
described in the attached Exhibit "A," and as shown on the attached Exhibit'B."
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that the boundary lines of the Commissioner Districts within the
County, which revisions are described in the attached Exhibit "A," and as shown on the
attached Exhibit"B," be, and hereby are, approved.

#1 The Commissioner Line was moved from County Road 15 to County Road 17 to
follow the US Congressional Line (lime green line). Commissioner District 3 to
Commissioner District 2.
#2 The Commissioner Line was moved to follow the offset created at County Road
17 and County Road 20 by the US Congressional Line. Commissioner District 2
to Commissioner District 3.
#3 The Commissioner Line was moved to follow the offset created at County Road
17 and County Road 22 by the US Congressional Line. Commissioner District 2
to Commissioner District 3.
