I oppose the development of a commercial rodeo arena and requests that the Planning Commission take the following into consideration in making their decision to approve or deny the Site Specific Development Plan. 1. The lack of traffic control signs in the area poses a significant safety hazard to the residents, their pets, property, and livestock; and the rodeo spectators and participants. 2. The traffic will create significant clouds of dust. r^ 3. Unwanted traffic and traffic noise prior to and during the events. 4. The parking facilities as described are not adequate for the volume of anticipated participants. 5. Unwanted influx of people into the area disrupting the quiet, safety, and privacy of the residents. 6. Unwanted noise from the public address system. 7. Unwanted accumulation of improperly discarded trash. 8. There are environmental concerns, as the land will not support vegetation when subjected to the expected volume of pedestrian and automotive traffic at both the rodeo site and the parking site. Unprotected land is subject to wind erosion and creates a dust hazard. I believe the proposed use is incompatible with the desires and life style of the neighboring residents, and respectfully request a denial of the Site Specific Development Plan.
