HomeMy WebLinkAbout20253610 MINUTES WELD COUNTY COUNCIL March 17, 2025 The Weld County Council met in regular session in full conformity with the Weld County Home Rule Charter at 6:30 p.m., Monday, March 17, 2025, at the Weld County Administration Building, 1150 0 Street, Greeley, CO. ROLL CALL: The meeting was called to order by President Nancy Teksten. Councilmembers Elijah Hatch, James Welch, Jeff Reck and Terry DeGroot were present, constituting a quorum of members. Also present was Council Secretary Linda Kane. APPROVAL OF AGENDA : Councilmember Reck made a motion to approve the agenda, seconded by Councilmember Welch, and the motion carried. APPROVAL OF DOCUMENTATION: Approval of February Minutes Councilmember Reck made a motion to approve the February minutes, seconded by Councilmember Welch, and the motion carried. Approval of Resolution 233— 2025 Meeting Dates Councilmember Welch made a motion to approve Resolution 233, seconded by Councilmember Reck, and the motion carried. Approval of Resolution 234— Appointment of Terry DeGroot Councilmember Welch made a motion to approve Resolution 234, seconded by Councilmember Hatch, and the motion carried. REVIEW PROGRAM: David Eisenbraun — Director of Planning Services Mr. Eisenbraun said the mission of his department is to protect and enhance the quality of life for county residents through the implementation of the adopted comprehensive plan, Weld County Code and building codes while providing Professional, friendly and quality customer service to the community. Department objectives include coordinated planning agreements, comprehensive plan, fee study, code changes and a new development activity map. Regarding coordinated planning agreements, the department will partner and collaborate with our 32 municipalities ensuring safe and orderly growth while balancing economic development. For more information see Addendum 1. PUBLIC COMMENT: There was no public comment. OLD BUSINESS: Councilmember Welch made a motion to invite facilities to give a presentation April 21 at the OMMlir:Gc .NOC\S 2025-3610 O1 1 \a 1 aLo Council meeting, it was seconded by Councilmember Hatch, and the motion carried. NEW BUSINESS: Coordinator Reports/Councilman Reports There were none. Bills Councilmember Hatch made a motion to approve bills, it was seconded by Councilmember Welch and carried.
