Approve Appointment to Weld County Regional Opioid Council
Whereas, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
Whereas, on August 23, 2022, the Weld County Regional Opioid Council was founded
through the adoption of Bylaws, which stipulate seats on said council are held for two-year
terms, and
Whereas, on August 19, 2024, the Weld County Board of Commissioners reappointed
Scott K. James to said board as the Weld County Commissioner Representative, with a
term to expire August 23, 2026, and
Whereas, the Weld County Board of Commissioners deems it advisable to affirm the
appointment of Jason S. Maxey to said board as the Weld County Commissioner
Representative to replace Scott K. James, with a term to expire August 23, 2026.
Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, that appointment of Jason S. Maxey to the Weld County Regional Opioid
Council, with a term to expire August 23, 2026, be, and hereby is, affirmed.
The Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, approved the above
and foregoing Resolution, on motion duly made and seconded, by the following vote on
the 5th day of January, A.D., 2026:
