FINDINGS AND ORDER DECLARING ORGANIZATION OF THE
PAWNEE FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT
In re the Organization of:
PAWNEE FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT
THIS MATTER comes on for appropriate findings and orders following
certification of the election returns having been filed with the Court
by the election judges following the election held on the 6th day of
December 1983.
THE COURT, having examined the file and the Certificate of Election
Returns as filed by the election judges, FINDS that such election was
held in conformity with Part 8 of the Special District Act, C.R.S. 4
32-1-101, et. seq. , and FURTHER FINDS that at the election held December
6, 1983 there were 34 votes for the formation of the District and 7
votes against the formation of the District; and FURTHER FINDS that Rod
Johnson and Kirk Rush received the majority of votes for directors of
the District who should serve until the next regular election and Larry
Enderson, Debra J. Idler and Richard Smock received the majority of
votes for directors of the District who should serve until the second
regular election of the District.
IT IS THEREFORE, ORDERED, ADJUDGED AND DECREED AS FOLLOWS:
1. That the Special District be, and it hereby is, duly organized
under the corporate name of the PAWNEE FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT.
2. That a general description of the boundaries of the special
district, which lies entirely within Weld County, Colorado, is as
follows:
THE PROPOSED AREA COMPRISES THE TOTAL OF WELD COUNTY
PAWNEE SCHOOL DISTRICT RE-12, APPROXIMATELY 708 SQUARE
MILES. IT INCLUDES THE INCORPORATED AREA OF GROVER AND
THE UNINCORPORATED AREAS OF HEREFORD AND KEOTA. THE
PROPOSED SERVICE AREA EXTENDS NORTH TO THE WYOMING
STATE LINE, SOUTH TO THE BRIGGSDALE SCHOOL DISTRICT RE-10J,
AND EAST TO THE NEW RAYMER SCHOOL DISTRICT RE-11J.
3. That the purpose of the proposed special district will be to
provide fire protection within the proposed service area as above
described with future possibilities of providing ambulance service and
for the purpose of establishing necessary protection of life and pro— 841081
perty within the proposed service area.

4. That the following named persons be, and they hereby are, shall
constitute the initial directors of the special district to serve the
term as indicated:
Rod Johnson - Until the next regular election
Kirk Rush - Until the next regular election
Larry Enderson - Until the second regular election
Debra J. Idler - Until the second regular election
Richard Smock - Until the second regular election
