HomeMy WebLinkAbout20060022.tiff RESOLUTION RE: GRANT REQUEST FROM CARMA(COLORADO),INC.,TO PREADVERTISECHANGE OF ZONE, PZ#1078, FROM THE A(AGRICULTURAL)ZONE DISTRICT TO THE PUD (PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENT) ZONE DISTRICT WHEREAS,the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS,the Board has received a request from Carma(Colorado), Inc.,c/o Tom Morton, 9110 East Nichols Avenue, Suite 180, Englewood, Colorado 80112, for preadvertisement of an application for Change of Zone, PZ #1078, from the A (Agricultural) Zone District to the PUD (Planned Unit Development) Zone District, with E (Estate), R-1 (Low Density Residential), R-2 (Duplex Residential), R-3 (Medium Density Residential), R-4 (High Density Residential), C-1 (Neighborhood Commercial), C-2 (General Commercial), and continuing oil and gas production uses in the Mixed Use Development (MUD) Overlay District- St. Vrain Lakes PUD, and WHEREAS, said property is described as parts of Sections 25, 35, and 36, all in Township 2 North, Range 68 West of the 6th P.M., Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS,after study and review the Board deems it advisable to grant said request,with the hearing date to be set as February 8, 2006, at 10:00 a.m. NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the request from Carma (Colorado), Inc., c/o Tom Morton, for preadvertisement of an application for Change of Zone, PZ#1078,from the A(Agricultural)Zone District to the PUD (Planned Unit Development) Zone District, with E (Estate), R-1 (Low Density Residential), R-2 (Duplex Residential), R-3 (Medium Density Residential), R-4 (High Density Residential),C-1 (Neighborhood Commercial), C-2(General Commercial), and continuing oil and gas production uses in the Mixed Use Development(MUD)Overlay District-St.Vrain Lakes PUD, be, and hereby is, granted. The development is to be identified as St. Vrain Lakes PUD. This request is due in part to keeping the project moving forward. The applicant was scheduled for a December 20, 2005 Planning Commission hearing, however, due to a late referral from Felsburg, Holt and Ullevig, consultants to Weld County Public Works, the land use case was set back thirty days. The Planning Commission hearing date is January 17, 2006 and the applicant has requested a February 8, 2006 hearing date before this Board. In light of the unforeseen events, the Department of Planning Services is in support of this request by CARMA Colorado, Inc. 2006-0022 Ca_ Best Communities. Best Value.
