HomeMy WebLinkAbout20061744.tiff RESOLUTION RE: GRANT PERMIT FOR TEMPORARY ASSEMBLY TO NICK SEKICH - OCTOBER 14, 2006 WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS, Nick Sekich, 6790 Weld County Road 32, Platteville, Colorado 80651, has presented to the Board of County Commissioners an application for a Permit for Temporary Assembly on land within the unincorporated portion of the County of Weld, State of Colorado, to be held from 9:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m., on October 14, 2006, on property described as follows: 6105 Weld County Road 32, Platteville, Colorado 80651; being further described as the SW1/4 of Section 18, Township 3 North, Range 67 West of the 6th P.M., Weld County, Colorado WHEREAS, said applicant has paid Weld County the sum of ONE-HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100.00) for said Weld County Permit for Temporary Assembly, and WHEREAS, having examined said application, the Board deems it appropriate to grant a Weld County Permit for Temporary Assembly to Nick Sekich, and with the condition that he address the concerns of the Weld County Sheriffs Office as expressed in the letter dated June 23, 2006, prior to the date of the event. WHEREAS,said permit shall be issued subject to compliance with the terms and conditions as set forth in the application materials and upon the express condition and agreement that the temporary assemblage will be conducted in strict conformity to all laws of the State of Colorado, and WHEREAS, the Board deems it advisable to waive the bond requirements, and WHEREAS,any violation to said terms and conditions shall be cause for revocation of said permit. No set number of porta-potties were listed on the application for the number of people(600)that he stated were to attend. 2. I requested that EMT's should be on scene during the event. We were extremely concerned about the high volume of traffic being funneled through the intersection of W.C.R. 13 and Hwy 66. The following are the recommendations made by this Department: 1) Temporary food service guidelines be followed (attached). 2) Temporary hand washing stations be located outside the portable toilets. In addition, provide temporary hand washing stations that are accessible only by food preparation staff(see attached diagram for hand washing for food staff). 3) The application did not state the quantity of portable toilets to be available. Based on the number of participants and the hours of the event it is our recommendation that 8 portable toilets be provided.
