RE: APPROVE IMPROVEMENT PLAN OF LEE D. MORRISON
WHEREAS,the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS,Lee D. Morrison has served Weld County for more than a quarter century,
always working diligently to ensure that the Board of County Commissioners worked within the
boundaries set by state statute, the Home Rule Charter, and otherwise, and
WHEREAS,on or about February 25, 2006, an unscheduled leave of absence from his
duties as Assistant Weld County Attorney befell Mr. Morrison, and
WHEREAS,the Board is informed that Mr. Morrison is working hard on implementing an
Improvement Plan by which he may return to his duties, and
WHEREAS,the Board, after consideration, finds that the Improvement Plan meets the
criteria for good results.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that:
Section 1. The Board of County Commissioners of Weld County has considered this
matter as required and hereby approves the Improvement Plan currently
being implemented by Lee D. Morrison.
Section 2. Based upon the information contained in the Improvement Plan and evidence
presented to the Board, the Board hereby finds and determines that
successful completion of the Improvement Plan is necessary for the
following reasons:
A. There is sufficient and projected need in Weld County,Colorado, for
Mr. Morrison's expertise in County legal matters.
B. All of Mr.Morrison's co-workers have missed him. Judges and Court
personnel have missed him. County officials have missed him.
Even his non-commercial junkyard and zoning violator"friends"have
missed him.
C. There is sufficient and projected need for Mr. Morrison's opinions and
expert information regarding the Colorado Rockies, Denver Broncos,
Irish and Scottish history, and Colorado State University football.
Section 3. Upon completion of the Improvement Plan, it is hoped and anticipated that
Lee D. Morrison will experience only robust health, and his future use of
health care providers will be limited to routine matters only.

Section 4. All Resolutions or other possible outcomes or parts thereof, in conflict with
the provisions hereof, are hereby repealed.
Section 5. This Resolution is necessary for the health, safety and welfare of the
citizenry of Weld County, not to mention Lee D. Morrison.
The above and foregoing Resolution was,on motion duly made and seconded,adopted by
the following vote on the 17th day of April, A.D., 2006.
