Hello- I am writing to express my concern over the proposed placement of wind turbines
near the Pawnee Grassland. I am an avid birder who visits the grasslands many times
throughout the year-to ride, hike and enjoy the very unique vistas and ecosystems that the
prairie offers. I hope that you will consider the environmental impact regarding the
placement of the Cedar Creek turbines etc. and at minimum, use the DOW recommendations
which seem somewhat reasonable even after being altered to help accommodate the project.
While wind generated power is a certainly considered a positive, environmental
impact should be minimized for the project to be acceptable.
