RE: APPROVE REVISION TO OPERATIONS MANUAL, SECTION 8.000, BUSINESS
OFFICE POLICIES AND PROCEDURES
WHEREAS,the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS,the Board has been presented with a Revision to Section 8.000, Business
Office Policies and Procedures, for the Department of Social Services Operations Manual, and
WHEREAS,after review, the Board deems it advisable to approve said revision, a copy of
which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County,Colorado,ex-officio Board of Social Services,that the Revision to Section 8.000, Business
Office Policies and Procedures for the Department of Social Services Operations Manual, be,and
hereby is, approved.
The above and foregoing Resolution was,on motion duly made and seconded,adopted by
the following vote on the 2nd day of August, A.D., 2006.

Operations Manual
Enclosed for Board approval is a revision to Section 8.000, Business Office Policies and
Procedures, Weld County Department of Social Services Operations Manual. This revision was
reviewed at the Board's Work Session held on June 24,2006.
The primary reason for the revision to Section 8.1.00.4, Per Diem Expenses, is to update the per
diem amounts to be paid for staff for the Department and base the amounts as updated by the
Internal Review Service information.

Business Office Policies and Procedures
8.100.4 Per Diem Expenses
Added 8/00 E. Per diem rates are subject to change each year and are referenced
Revised 8/03 in each year's Agency Letter titled "State Fiscal Year 20xx-20xx
Revised 7/06 Preliminary Allocations and County Budget Letter". The Department will
follow the rates in the Continental US (CONUS) Per Diem Rate schedule
as updated each year. The following table lists the Standard rate and
additional rates for areas designated as "High Cost". Specific cities that
classify as High Cost areas are listed below under the appropriate County.
The per diem reimbursement rates to other cities in the United States can
be obtained from the Business Office.
