HomeMy WebLinkAbout820826.tiff ,; v. .f cc- a- RESOLUTION RE: AMENDMENT OF 2.10 OF THE ADMINISTRATIVE MANUAL WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to Colorado Statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS, 2.10 of the Weld County Administrative Manual, Personnel Policies designates the Director of Personnel to act as the Recorder to the Personnel Board, and WHEREAS, the Board deems it advisable to designate an alternate person to assume the duties when requested by the Personnel Director, and WHEREAS, the Board has determined that the Assistant Personnel Director is the appropriate alternate. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners that 2.10 of the Weld County Administrative Manual, Personnel Policies be amended to read: 2. 10 County Personnel Board - The Personnel Board is appointed by the Weld County Board of Commissioners and will be composed of 7 voting and 2 non-voting members. The 2 non-voting members are: the Personnel Director or the Assistant Personnel Director, who will act as the Recorder to the Board; the County Attorney, who will act as the legal advisor to the Board. The 7 voting members consist of 4 employees, 2 department heads, (either elected or non-elected), and one from middle management. The 3 management members are to be selected by the Board of Commissioners, serving a term of 2 years, with no more than 2 members' terms expiring in any 1 year. The 4 employee members are to be elected by the employees; one from the Health Department, one from Human Resources, one from Road and Bridge, and one from the Centennial Center. Their term of office is also 2 years, with no more than 2 members' terms expiring in any 1 year. The Chairman of the Personnel Board shall be appointed by the Weld County Board of Commissioners and shall serve the length of his/her current term as a Board member.
