RE: ANONYMOUS DONATION FOR LAMINATOR FOR WELD COUNTY LIBRARY
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado Statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, an anonymous donor has offered to donate THREE
HUNDRED DOLLARS ($300) to the Weld County Library towards the
purchase of a laminating device to seal library cards, and
WHEREAS, it is the policy of the Board of County Commissioners
to formally accept donations offered the County via a resolution, and
WHEREAS, the Weld County Library is in need of a laminating
device to seal library cards, and the Director of Finance and
Administrative Services has informed the Board that the approximate
cost of said device would be THREE HUNDRED SEVENTY SEVEN DOLLARS
($377) , and
WHEREAS, Friends Of The Library have offered to pay the amount
that exceeds the anonymous donation for the laminating device, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners deems it to be in
the best interests of Weld County to accept the anonymous donation
and also the donation for the additional funds from the Friends Of
The Library.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners
that the Board accepts the anonymous donation and the additional
donation from the Friends Of The Library for the specific purpose
of purchasing the laminating device.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners
that they direct the Library Director to send a letter of appreciation
to the donors on behalf of the Board and citizens of Weld County.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and
Administrative Services and the Purchasing Director are directed to
proceed with the purchasing of said laminating device.

The above and foregoing resolution was, on motion duly made and
seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 26th day of October,
