RE: APPOINTMENT OF RENEE FIELDER AS ASSISTANT TREASURER
WHEREAS,the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS,Section 6-1 of the Weld County Home Rule Charter was amended by the Weld
County voters on November 8, 2001, making the office of the County Treasurer appointed by the
Board of Weld County Commissioners, effective January 1, 2003, and
WHEREAS,on EREAS,on October 7,2002,the Weld County Treasurer's Office was placed under the
Division of the Finance and Administration, and
WHEREAS,due to the retirement of Sue Young, a need exists to appoint an Assistant
Treasurer, and
WHEREAS,it is the recommendation of the Director of Finance, and the desire of Don
Mueller,Weld County Treasurer,that Renee Fielder be appointed as Assistant Treasurer,effective
January 1,2007,to actin his absence,disability,or in case of a vacancy in the office, and to perform
all the duties of County Treasurer during such absence or until such vacancy shall be filled.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County,Colorado,that Renee Fielder be, and hereby is, appointed Assistant Treasurer, effective
January 1, 2007.
The above and foregoing Resolution was,on motion duly made and seconded, adopted by
the following vote on the 20th day of December, A.D., 2006.
