RE: APPROVE RECOMMENDATION OF APPOINTMENTS TO JUVENILE SERVICES
PLANNING COMMITTEE
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS,pursuant to Section 19-2-1602.7 of House Bill 93-134,and by Resolution dated
July 7, 1993,the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,Colorado,together with the Chief
Judge of the Judicial District,agreed to create the local Juvenile Services Planning Committee,and
WHEREAS,it has been recommended that Dave Long be appointed to said committee to
replace Mike Geile as the County Commissioner representative;that Ben Rainbolt be appointed to
replace Shannon Lyons as a community representative; and that Joe Thome be appointed to
replace Matt Freisen and Maurice Williams as the Division of Youth Corrections representative,and
WHEREAS, the Board deems it advisable to recommend to the Chief Judge of the
Nineteenth Judicial District that Dave Long be appointed to said committee to replace Mike Geile as
the County Commissioner representative; Ben Rainbolt be appointed to replace Shannon Lyons as
a community representative; and Joe Thome be appointed to replace Matt Freisen and Maurice
Williams as the Division of Youth Corrections representative.
NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that Dave Long, Ben Rainbolt, and Joe Thome be, and hereby are,
recommended to the Chief Judge of the 19th Judicial District for appointments to the Juvenile
Services Planning Committee.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 12th day of April, A.D., 2006.

Pursuant to § 19-2-211,C.R.S. and upon the recommendation of the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado,
IT IS ORDERED:
The following individuals are appointed to the Juvenile Services Planning Committee
for the Nineteenth Judicial District:
Dave Long is appointed to replace Mike Geile as the County Commissioner
Representative; Ben Rainbolt is appointed to replace Shannon Lyons as a Community
Representative; and Joe Thome is appointed to replace Matt Freisen and Maurice Williams as
the Division of Youth Corrections Representative.
