CORPORATION
WHEREAS,the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS,the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, State of Colorado, at a
duly and lawfully called regular meeting held on the 26th day of June,2006,at which meeting there
were present the following members: Chair M. J. Geile, and Commissioners William H. Jerke,
David E. Long, Robert D. Masden, and Glenn Vaad, and
WHEREAS,notice of such meeting and an opportunity to be present has been given to the
taxpayer and the Assessor of said County,and said Assessor, Stan Sessions, being represented
by Raelene Churyk, and taxpayer Colonial Pacific Leasing Corporation/General Electric Capital
Corporation, not being present, and
WHEREAS,the Board of County Commissioners have carefully considered the attached
petition, and are fully advised in relation thereto.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County,Colorado,that the Board concurs with the recommendation of the assessor and the petition
be and hereby is, approved in part, and an abatement or refund be allowed as follows:

Dear Rayleen:
It was nice speaking with you today. Pursuant to our phone conversation, please accept
this letter as a request for a change in assessment for the above referenced taxpayer for
the 2003 tax year. There was an error in the decimal placement of the reported cost,
causing an inflated assessment. The asset was incorrectly reported at a cost of
$14,014,358.00 when the actual cost was $14,014.58. To support the above referenced
assessment change request, enclosed please find a copy of the invoice from Allied Films
Corporation to GE Capital Leasing, showing the actual cost of the equipment. I have also
enclosed a completed Petition for Abatement, an Agent Authorization and a copy of the
2003 paid tax receipt from the treasurer's office.
A corrected assessed value on this asset is needed based on the corrected reported cost.
Please reduce the 2003 assessed value to $4,345 and process a refund to Colonial Pacific
Leasing Corporation for the difference between the tax due on the new assessed value
and the incorrect tax paid to the Weld County Treasurer.. If further information is needed
to process this assessment change and refund request,please contact me by phone at 713-
