HomeMy WebLinkAbout20063386 RESOLUTION RE: ACTION OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS REGARDING VIOLATION VI#0600314 AGAINST ELIAS VILLAGOMEZ FOR VIOLATION OF THE WELD COUNTY CODE WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS, Elias Villagomez, VI #0600314, is allegedly in violation of the Weld County Code, and WHEREAS, despite efforts by the Planning staff to resolve said matter, the violation has not been corrected, and WHEREAS, on the 12th day of December, 2006, a public hearing was held before the Board of County Commissioners for the purpose of hearing testimony relating to said violation, and WHEREAS, Elias Villagomez was not present or represented at said hearing, although all parties were notified of said hearing by Department of Planning Services staff, and WHEREAS, the Board deems it advisable to bring legal action against those individuals named above to correct said violation. August 7, 2006 Violation letter issued. August 8, 2006 Property owner's son called and asked for me to explain violation. Property owners did not speak English. October 17, 2006 Property inspected. Property remains in violation. October 30, 2006 Letter sent to property owner indicating that the violation case was scheduled before the Board of County Commissioners. 2006-3386 November 11, 2006 Property owner came into the office and met with Roger Vigil and myself as he did not speak English. He said all vehicles were tagged and running except one that had flat tires. I asked that copies of registration be provided or an on-site inspection scheduled once all vehicles were in running condition.
