FYI copy of communication to Mike Simone. John Folsom Mike: The Weld Commissioners and Frank Hempen are at it again. The county has so far proposed the east of I-25 parallel arterial along 9-1/2, 11, 13 and a new road between I-25 and 11 [Felsburg study]. This morning's TC describes extending 9-1/2 south from 66 to St. Vrain Creek and then jogging west to the east frontage road where it ceases to be a"parallel arterial", dumping the traffic into Del Camino. I have long proposed extending 9-1/2 south directly across St. Vrain Creek to 9-3/4 to 24 and then diagonally south by southeast until it meets with 11 south of 22. Creating a 9-1/2 south of 22 has effectively been blocked by Frederick's annexations making no provision for it. Joining on to the frontage road just increases traffic congestion at Del Camino and creates more traffic through the proposed Riverdance [St. Vrain Lakes] development. Since it has been proposed [according to the article] that Firestone maintain part of the state highway east frontage road, perhaps you might want to look into all of this. John Do You Yahoo!?
