RE: WAIVER OF RENTAL FEES FOR USE OF COUNTY BUILDINGS AT ISLAND
GROVE PARK FOR THE GREELEY INDEPENDENCE STAMPEDE
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Greeley Independence Stampede Committee has
requested that they be allowed to use the County buildings at
Island Grove Park for the 1983 Greeley Independence Stampede
and that the rental fees for the use of said buildings be
waived, and
WHEREAS, the dates requested for the use of the buildings
is June 24th through July 5th, 1983, and
WHEREAS, the Board desires to grant the request for the
use of said buildings and to waive the rental fees for the same;
however, any extraordinary expenses such as : additional trash
removal; janitorial services; security; the use of any County
vehicles; and any damages incurred, shall be paid for by the
Stampede Committee.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Com-
missioners of Weld County, Colorado that the rental fees for use
of the County buildings at Island Grove Park by the Greeley
Independence Stampede Committee be, and hereby are, waived sub-
ject to the above stated conditions.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that for the record and
accounting purposes the Board shall transfer the equivalent of
the fee waived, $3 , 000. 00 , froma County Contribution Account to
the Exhibition Rental Account; therefore, the in-kind contribu-
tion of true out-of-pocket cost to the County is recognized by
both the County and the Stampede Committee.

The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 10th day of
January, A.D. , 1983.

Dear Gentlemen:
In response to your recent annual request for use of Weld County buildings at
Island Grove Park, please be advised that the Board of Weld County
Commissioners has granted your request to waive the fees for the use of
buildings and facilities at Island Grove during the 1983 Stampede activities.
As was the case last year, the Board granted the waiver of fees on the
condition that your group pay for janitorial costs incurred, additional trash
removal costs, security, the use of any County vehicles, and any damages
incurred. For the record and accounting purposes on the waiver, the Board
will transfer the equivalent of the fee waived in the amount of $3,000 from
the County contribution account for the Independence Stampede to the
Exhibition rental account. In this manner, the in-kind contribution of true
out-of-pocket costs to the County for the event is recognized by both the
County and Stampede committee.
Mr. Stan Boyes will be advised of the Board's decision, as well as instructed
to reserve the facilities as you cited in your letter, by way of this letter.
If you have questions regarding the above approval or other arrangements,
