The Hellmers are co-owners of a commercial goat dairy farm and have discussed with us their intention of running goats on their 2 acres, which is adjacent to our property. It is our concern that the goat manure would bring flies and other adverse conditions, not conducive to a residential neighborhood. As concerned property owners on the adjacent West property boundary, we feel that a change from R-1 to Agricultural zoning would negatively effect the value of our remaining acreage, (we split off the Hellmer's parcel in a recorded exemption). We were hoping to build a nice home on the remaining acreage in the near future. We would strongly urge that you retain the R-1 zoning on this small parcel, which has no water other than for domestic use. Thanks for your consideration in this matter.
