NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,Colorado,that the personal check#2108 from David and Annita Alvarez,dba Bethel Family Praise Center, in the amount of$3,300.00 be, and hereby is, canceled and released. The applicant is requesting a full release of collateral for the ADA, handicap parking. The Department of Public Works conducted a site visit for compliance and finds that the parking is in compliance with the recorded plat. The Use by Special Review USR-1429 was accepted by the Board of County Commissioners on October 15, 2003. Staff is recommending that the request for release of collateral for three thousand three hundred dollars ($3,300.00) be approved at this time since the ADA, handicap parking meets the Weld County Code and the recorded USR-1429 plat. The applicant has provided six spaces as identified in the plat drawing. Building inspection will follow-up with the appropriate plackers identifying handicapped parking as required. The IBC doesn't tell you the requirements for the signs however. Per Sec. 502.6 of ICC/ANSI A117. 1-1998 Identification of accessible parking spaces shall be done with signs including the international symbol of accessibility a minimum of 60 inches above the ground surface measured to the bottom of the sign. There is no requirements for the painted symbol in the stall. The access aisle next to the stall IS required to be painted though per sec. 503.3.3.
