RE: AUTHORIZE TREASURER TO ESTABLISH CONTRIBUTIONS AND DONATIONS
TRUST FUND FOR FAMILY EDUCATIONAL NETWORK OF WELD COUNTY
WHEREAS,the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS,it has been determined that there is a need to establish a new fund through the
Weld County Treasurer's Office for Family Educational Network of Weld County to use to account
for monies from private contributors without commingling said monies with Federal revenues,with
said monies being earmarked for purchasing goods or services needed by the program and its
individual centers, and
WHEREAS,the Director of Finance and Controller recommend the new fund be called the
Contributions and Donations Trust Fund,and that it be placed on the books of Weld County as Fund
#7016.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, the Contributions and Donations Trust Fund, Fund #7016, be, and hearby is,
established.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Controller and Weld County Treasurer
be, and hereby are, directed to create said fund on their respective books, effective immediately.
The above and foregoing Resolution was,on motion duly made and seconded, adopted by
the following vote on the 23rd day of January, A.D., 2006.

Re: Contributions and Donations Account
The Family Educational Network of Weld County is requesting that Weld County set up a Contributions
and Donations account in the FENWC budget for the Head Start and Migrant Head Start Programs.
The account will provide a venue for monies from private contributors to be maintained without being
commingled with Federal revenues. These contributions are earmarked for purchasing goods or
services needed by the program and its individual centers.
Initially we intend to open that account with approximately $2,300, as we close out the temporary
Program fundraising account at Wells Fargo Bank. FENWC no longer needs a fund-raising account.
