RE: APPROVE APPOINTMENTS TO FAMILIES,YOUTH, AND CHILDREN COMMISSION
WHEREAS,the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS,vacancies currently exist on the Families, Youth, and Children Commission,
and
WHEREAS,it has been recommended that Wendy Rich-Goldschmidt be appointed to said
board as the law enforcement representative, to replace Lynn Post, and that John Ashby be
appointed to said board as the mental health representative, to replace Tracy Baldo, and
WHEREAS,it has been recommended that Carla Silva and Juan Lopez be reappointed to
said board as the probation and school district representatives, consecutively, and
WHEREAS,the Board deems it advisable to appoint Wendy Rich-Goldschmidt and John
Ashby to said board,with terms to expire December 31,2007,and to reappoint Carla Silva and Juan
Lopez to said board, with terms to expire December 31, 2008.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County,Colorado,that Wendy Rich-Goldschmidt and John Ashby be,and hereby are,appointed to
the Families, Youth, and Children Commission, with terms to expire December 31, 2007.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board thatCarla Silva and Juan Lopez be,and hereby
are, reappointed to the Families, Youth, and Children Commission, with terms to expire
December 31, 2008.
The above and foregoing Resolution was,on motion duly made and seconded, adopted by
the following vote on the 4th day of January, A.D., 2006.
