Environmental clearances are required before construction begins. Permitting of the Fiscus North sand and gravel pit requires environmental clearances per Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology regulations. This task-order involves Darcy Tiglas to provide you biological work eight-" `{I Weight- 4/o7 county bridges and for the Fiscus North Mine. The effort will primarily involve Darcy's efforts, but we have also incorporated a small amount of time to administer the task order. The following budget is proposed: • FHU Effort—4 hours for a principal, $153.50/hour: $614 • Tides Effort—See attached proposal from Darcy Tiglas: $13,500 From this, we have established a total of budget of$14,114 to complete the effort per Darcy's attached scope of work. Should other services be required not anticipated at this point, we will submit a separate proposal for the additional work. If the scope and budget presented here (and in the attachment) is acceptable to you, please sign below and return one copy to serve as a letter of agreement for this task order. Tasks include a wetland delineation, Preble's meadow jumping mouse live trapping (ZAPR), Ute ladies'-tresses orchid field surveys (SPDI), and 404-wetland permitting. I understand that the scope of work for this bridge is as follows: Bridge 74/27A • Wetland Delineation- $1500 • ZAPR Live Trapping- $4000 • SPDI Survey- $2000 • 404-Wetland Permit(Nationwide 14)- $1,500 The cost estimate includes the tasks outlined above and drafting, review, and other direct costs associated with the individual tasks. Fasching, PE Felsburg Holt& Ullevig 6300 South Syracuse Way, Suite 600 Centennial, CO 80111 RE: Proposal for Biological Field Work for a Proposed Gravel Mine Site, the Fiscus North Mine, in Weld County, Colorado Dear Mr. Fasching: This letter serves as a proposal for biological field work for a proposed gravel mine site known as the Fiscus North Mine in Weld County, Colorado. I understand that the scope of work for the mine site is as follows: Initial Site Reconnaissance and Issue Identification • General site visit and field reconnaissance with Weld County Staff; • Species list generation and habitat type determination; and • Issue identification. Cost for this task: $500.00 Burrowing owl survey • field reconnaissance and windshield survey of the black-tailed prairie dog town east and south of the proposed mine site as well as power lines and fence lines in an approximate one-mile area of the work site to be conducted between March 15 and September 15; and • if burrowing owls are determined to be present, consultation with the Colorado Division of Wildlife for impacts analysis or imposition of a timing restriction within the immediate area of the prairie dog town. Fasching Page 2 Mountain plover survey • field reconnaissance and windshield survey of the short-grass steppe surrounding the proposed mine site in an approximate one-mile area of the work site to be conducted between March 15 and September 15; and • if the plover is detected, consultation with the Colorado Division of Wildlife for impacts analysis or imposition of a timing restriction within the immediate area of the proposed mine site.
